Where there’s a will to buy comics, there’s a way to the comic shop despite work and a previously agreed upon task. Luckily, both didn’t take long and yesterday, I was able to spend time at Earthworld Comics for Free Comic Book Day.
I had an idea of what comics I was buying so I went to the back of the store first to see what free comics were available this year and walked away with three:
The Free Comics
☆ “Monster High” – I was surprised to see this cause it was definitely a title for a previous Free Comic Book Day. (Unless I’m remembering wrong.) No complaints though. It being available was great for me!
☆ “The Nice House On The Lake” – A horror comic about twelve friends trapped within a lakeside house and unable to die until they solve the mystery of why it’s happening. Also the outside world is ending while this is going down.
☆ “Deicidium” – Strictly a vibe choice and I’ve decided to go into it blind.
The Purchased Comics
With that taken care of, I quickly grabbed issues 5 and 6 of “Roots of Madness” before shuffling around other shoppers to see if anything else caught my eye.
☆ “Love Ignited” – Another Ignition Press title, this one a romance and their first anthology debut.
☆ “Come Find Me” – Looked into this horror comic anthology a while back. Bought it yesterday because they had my favorite cover!
I was looking for White House Robot Romance as well but honestly, not very hard since I was tired.
But not tired enough for pizza from the Cruet Pizza food truck! No picture of the actual pizza because I demolished it when I got home. You’ll just have to trust me again when I say it tasted good. The crust could have been thicker though.
All in all, a very pleasant Free Comic Book Day.
