Nanowrimo is almost upon us again!
“It’s only July” you may be thinking. And yes, this is earlier than I usually brainstorm but June flew by before I realized and the same has been true for this month as well.
With sporadic obligations likely to occur during the upcoming months, I’m choosing a project now so I’m not scrambling to come up with something for November. And since I’m working on a number of stories already I don’t see why I should outline another as I usually would. So this year, I’m focusing on poetry. I’ve been finding my way back to the medium the past couple of years and I’m excited to work on something shorter than a novella.

The project is cleverly called “Seasoned Adventurer Retires to a Quiet Life in the Countryside,” which will be a small collection of poems and prose drawing inspiration from a 30 day challenge. The theme of said art challenge was #cottagetober, the perfect setting to write for our retiree.
