Another Nanowrimo has come and gone. The writing I did for November went as planned those first couple of days. “Others That Mother” is slowly coming along and I’ve even started a few notes of its companion! There isn’t an official final word count since the newest parts are handwritten and haven’t been added to the main document. However, I’m still on track for completing the first draft either this month or sometime in January.
Unexpectedly, the later part of the month was spent thinking of the following year and jotting down more silly stories ideas. Those creative folks who take a hiatus during December might be onto something. Just time to recharge and focus on the future without overburdening themselves year round. So I’ll be slowing down to consider new work and a few indulgent projects as I prep for the new year.
I hope everyone’s able to take some form of rest as we get deeper into the colder season and eventually welcome in the new year.
