Kids with Guns

A bit of an update!

The outline for “Rooks n’ Guns” (previously “GYG”) part one is finished and I’ve started on part two! The outline, not an actual draft, even though I’ve been writing snippets here and there. I’ll get to that bridge after I have a better grip on the story’s direction. And I wanted to take a moment to pat myself on the back. This is the first time I’ve plotted so much of a story in all my attempted writing career and decided on a quick, fun project before diving into the meat of part two. The project? A playlist! One featuring songs I frequently write to when working on Rook’s story.
There are others I’ll add as the story progresses but I do sometimes feel the playlist is a little misleading. I swear the story doesn’t feel this intense! But maybe that’s because I’m thinking about it constantly.

*Rather than fitting with the overall mood, “White Words” is for a specific character Rook interacts with throughout the story. Perhaps in a future post I’ll write about them and the other people Rook has come to know.
